Definitely if you're visiting Slovenia stay in Ljubljana, it's a lovely city with a couple of nice museums, but take a day trip (or an overnight stay) to Bled and walk around lake Bled, it's gorgeous!!

Things to do: - Walk along the beautiful canal - See the Triple Bridge - Hike up the castle - Eat some slovenian street food Safety: As a solo female traveler, I always felt safe. Recommendations: Ljubljana is a small and lovely city. Highly recommend spending a day there and another in lake Bled.

Things to do: - Ljubljana Castle - Dragon Bridge - Tivoli Park - Tromostovje - Prešeren Square - Metelkova Art Center - Central Market - Ljubljana Cathedral - Ljubljanica Safety: I felt very safe. Recommendations: Ljubljana is beautiful, but it's small. The country is quite cheap, food is delicious and people are very friendly.
