Is Ljubljana safe for solo female travelers?

Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, is considered extremely safe for solo female travelers. The crime rate is very low and instances of violent crime are rare. The locals are usually friendly and helpful towards tourists. Of course, common precautions should still be taken, such as not walking alone at night in isolated areas and being aware of your possessions, but generally, safety isn't a big concern in Ljubljana.

Love Ljubljana! It is a very beautiful and young city. It is very easy to connect and meet other solo travelers and make great experiences with each other. The local food is alright, but not suited for vegetarians. But I felt very safe as a woman :)

I didn't know that I needed a vacay in this city till I had it! After one year, I still cant get over THE VIBES! I'm ecstatic how safe this city felt, especially after living in many western european cities for the last 5 years. The old town is just amazing: the Cankarjevo Nabrezje, the Triple Bridge, the Dragon Bridge, are all musts that one cannot miss. Lots of shops with dragon-souvenirs and interesting thrift stores with variety. With my partner we did the Escape from Ljubljana Castle which was super fun and well organized. In general the prices are not expensive, ut depends on one's budget ofc but overall there are places for everyone. We did Cantina mexicana and found them fair. There was also an open kitchen str food festival that we found super cool- every Friday at Pogačarjev Trg in the Old Town near the Tripple Bridge. I wasn't wowed by tivoli park ljubljana but it was a nice park to walk to, it felt clean and safe even after dusk. Hope you all enjoy it as much as we did :)

Solo travel

Not Ljubljana, in general, the whole Slovenian country is safe. As myself, I love to explore the city and new food also, so I recommend that! Slovenians have very good pizza in the center of Ljubljana and I loved the cocktails too! If you want to try many things in the center of Ljubljana while you travel, you should have a budget of 300-400 euro just for yourself for 5 or 7 days let’s say. I stayed in a rented apartment which my friend is living, she is studying in Ljubljana. I purchased a ticket for a few days to use the bus, I was close to the center, so I didn’t really use it tho.

During the day it is very safe but i personally wouldnt go around parks at night The public transport is also safe, dont rely on trains too much, they are always late Otherwise its chill, i dont have to worry about getting robbed

I feel like overall, it's very safe, yes, especially at night, I've never felt particularly unsafe. You may get harassed by men on a rare occasion. Unfortunately, I believe that's a norm in every city around the world.

If you want to be safe in Ljubljana, visit it especially during the day, never, or at least if you stay in Ljubljana after midnight. Using public transport is very safe, there is no need to be afraid. People are very friendly and happy to help you. Despite the fact that Slovenia is a very safe country, it is not superfluous to keep an eye on your belongings and check who you hang out with.
