Love Ljubljana! It is a very beautiful and young city. It is very easy to connect and meet other solo travelers and make great experiences with each other. The local food is alright, but not suited for vegetarians. But I felt very safe as a woman :)

I didn't know that I needed a vacay in this city till I had it! After one year, I still cant get over THE VIBES! I'm ecstatic how safe this city felt, especially after living in many western european cities for the last 5 years. The old town is just amazing: the Cankarjevo Nabrezje, the Triple Bridge, the Dragon Bridge, are all musts that one cannot miss. Lots of shops with dragon-souvenirs and interesting thrift stores with variety. With my partner we did the Escape from Ljubljana Castle...
Posted: June 24, 2025Experienced: August, 2024Not Ljubljana, in general, the whole Slovenian country is safe. As myself, I love to explore the city and new food also, so I recommend that! Slovenians have very good pizza in the center of Ljubljana and I loved the cocktails too! If you want to try many things in the center of Ljubljana while you travel, you should have a budget of 300-400 euro just for yourself for 5 or 7 days let’s say. I stayed in a rented apartment which my friend is living, she is studying in Ljubljana. I purchased a...
Posted: June 22, 2025When I travelled to Ljubljana, I thought it is a beautiful city full of nature and quite cheap. How surprised I was, when I discovered there is no cheap transportation between city and nature and I cannot reach any peaceful, natural place on foot

I might be biased because I love the city, but it’s very safe. I don’t think anything bad can happen to you as long as you don’t have the survival instincts of a chicken. People usually mind their business and don’t interact with you.

My female friend and I were staying over near the unsafest place in Ljubljana next to a bar. The worst thing that has happened to us at nighttime is some drunk people further away yelling around. We were going out and all, so I would say that, considering how nobody even approached us, Ljubljana is a very safe city.

You can walk safely on the streets by your own, even during the night. You can take taxis or uber. Slovenians mostly speak english or some other foreign language and are happy to help foreign people.

During the day it is very safe but i personally wouldnt go around parks at night The public transport is also safe, dont rely on trains too much, they are always late Otherwise its chill, i dont have to worry about getting robbed

Hi! I’m a 22yo neurodivergent sociology student, leftist, cat mom and activist living in Ljubljana. I’m half-Slovene, half-Italian but my Italian isn’t perfect! I’d like to travel to explore Croatia, Italy and Austria, and possibly some other nearby countries, so if you want to travel there with a travel buddy, feel free to hit me up! 💌 I’m also open to discovering other interesting places in Slovenia! ✨ I’m open to meeting new people & hanging out, and I can show you around Ljubljana. I’m a very calm person who’s always happy to meet new people. I’m a vegan ⚖️ taking the liberation pledge so I’d prefer to travel with other vegans or at least have trips where we both eat at plantbased restaurants or have plant based meals elsewhere

Heyy my name is Alma, I live in a village near Ljubljana, Slovenia. I love to travel and I was really excited to discover this app. I am currently finishing high school in Ljubjana and planning my next longer trip in summer. I am very curious, enegetic, organised and clean person and I like to meet new people, hang out, try new restaurants, movies, theatre shows, exhibitions and go clubbing. It is easier for me to host at the end on the week and on weekends.

Hi! I'm Ada and I'm from Poland 😁 If you're looking for a place to stay in Ljubljana, I'm one of the organizers of Autostop House – a project run by the Polish Hitchhikers Association. It's an open house for travelers – not a hostel, but a free place where you can rest, meet other people, and enjoy some relaxing time off the road 🏡✨ You don’t need to message me here on Couchsurfing to ask for a place to stay – just fill out this simple form: https://sites.google.com/autostopowicze.org/autostop-house-2025/ , and one of the hosts from Autostop House will get in touch with you! You can also check out our social media for updates and photos: INSTAGRAM https://www.instagram.com/autostophouse?igsh=N3JicGgxZzFnbnRo FACEBOOK https://www.facebook.com/share/16XjmBwDcw/ – you're more than welcome to follow and reach out there 😊 As for me – my favorite way of traveling is hitchhiking and sleeping in a tent somewhere in nature, far from any campsites 🏞🏕 I started doing it not just because it's affordable for a student, but mostly because it's the best way to meet people, learn about different cultures, and experience a real adventure 😁 My first big trip was last year – I spent a month traveling through the Balkans, and after that, I knew this was what I wanted to do. Now I'm a proud member of the Polish Hitchhikers Association, and my dream is to become a full-time traveler once I finish university 🤠🌴🏜🏞

I’m 25 years old, a young and reflexive explorer and often solo traveler open and curious to meet new various people. I like to discuss politics, but not just current events but more importantly how people experience political life and society in their everyday life. And especially when talking to women I like to share experiences of how it is to be a woman in this society. I believe there is more feminism work to be done, again and again 💪🏻. I also like small talking I’m not just a nerd ☺️. I like to walk, dance and spend time in nature, do yoga and go to parties with good music (techno, rock, synth and 80s pop). I love to discover the music and the food of the country that I’m visiting 🌸.
