Love Ljubljana! It is a very beautiful and young city. It is very easy to connect and meet other solo travelers and make great experiences with each other. The local food is alright, but not suited for vegetarians. But I felt very safe as a woman :)

I didn't know that I needed a vacay in this city till I had it! After one year, I still cant get over THE VIBES! I'm ecstatic how safe this city felt, especially after living in many western european cities for the last 5 years. The old town is just amazing: the Cankarjevo Nabrezje, the Triple Bridge, the Dragon Bridge, are all musts that one cannot miss. Lots of shops with dragon-souvenirs and interesting thrift stores with variety. With my partner we did the Escape from Ljubljana Castle...
Posted: June 24, 2025Experienced: August, 2024Not Ljubljana, in general, the whole Slovenian country is safe. As myself, I love to explore the city and new food also, so I recommend that! Slovenians have very good pizza in the center of Ljubljana and I loved the cocktails too! If you want to try many things in the center of Ljubljana while you travel, you should have a budget of 300-400 euro just for yourself for 5 or 7 days let’s say. I stayed in a rented apartment which my friend is living, she is studying in Ljubljana. I purchased a...
Posted: June 22, 2025When I travelled to Ljubljana, I thought it is a beautiful city full of nature and quite cheap. How surprised I was, when I discovered there is no cheap transportation between city and nature and I cannot reach any peaceful, natural place on foot

I walk from my summer job in centre for 40 min home at 1AM and never had problems in 2 years of doing so. Im 20 and dressed in shorts and a crop top usually. The most it can happen is some light catcalling but no more than that

Ljubljana is preaty safe if you avoid some places that are filled with drugs or some shady areas that are filled with homeless people. I recommend avoiding under road pasages for pedestrians. Most dangerous is in the centre but in the spots that a normal tourist would never look.

I can walk down the street while listening to music at night without worrying. I have never seen any crime for the past few months. Everyone is chill and safe. Never saw or heard any pickpockets in the city.

Ljubljana is super safe! It’s just one of those places where I can actually relax. I often wander around alone at night and it never makes me feel stressed or on edge. The whole city has this calm, easygoing vibe. People just mind their business (but happy to help if you need anything). It’s chill, clean, and really peaceful .

Hi! I’m a 22yo AuDHD sociology student, leftist, cat mom and activist living in Ljubljana. I’m half-Slovene, half-Italian but my Italian isn’t perfect! I’d like to travel to explore Croatia, Italy and Austria, and possibly some other nearby countries, so if you want to travel there with a travel buddy, feel free to hit me up! 💌 I’m also open to discovering other interesting places in Slovenia! ✨ I’m open to meeting new people & hanging out, and I can show you around Ljubljana. I’m a very calm person who’s always happy to meet new people. I’m a vegan ⚖️ taking the liberation pledge so I’d prefer to travel with other vegans or at least have trips where we both eat at plantbased restaurants or have plant based meals elsewhere
