Ljubljana is generally safe it has only become a bit less safe lately. It is still fine, everything is walkable distance and strangers would help you if anything suspicious happened. But still, some roberries and some sexual harassment.
Posted: June 24, 2025Ljubljana is pretty safe i would say especially if you’re with a friend, but even if you’re not it’s cool. Sometimes there are weird guys or people but they just stare or make comments to their friends, which is of course very uncomfortable but they are mostly harmless physically if you just ignore them.
Posted: June 17, 2025I feel like Ljubljana is very safe. I feel very safe on public transport and when walking around, even at night. I havent experienced any outright dangerous things and even at clubs i think its very safe. A few creeps but if u have a geoup you don't really need to worry about them but even going alone i have found many nice groups i joined if i felt unsafe around someone.

Ljubljana is a very tame place, mostly folks at night are either chilling outside clubs or walking from one to the next, or they are rushing to their morning jobs. There are no no-go zones like in some bigger cities, and in general its pretty quiet at night.
Posted: April 22, 2025Very safe however you should always be very careful during the night because you never know who is going to be on the streets during the night. Nevertheless, Ljubljsna and Slovenia in general is a very safe place for women and kids.
Posted: March 3, 2025Very nice city where you feel very safe even in the middle of the night. I walked along the river at night it was beautiful beautiful and very quiet. People are very friendly and caring. Very secure city for woman travelling alone.

Love Ljubljana! It is a very beautiful and young city. It is very easy to connect and meet other solo travelers and make great experiences with each other. The local food is alright, but not suited for vegetarians. But I felt very safe as a woman :)

I didn't know that I needed a vacay in this city till I had it! After one year, I still cant get over THE VIBES! I'm ecstatic how safe this city felt, especially after living in many western european cities for the last 5 years. The old town is just amazing: the Cankarjevo Nabrezje, the Triple Bridge, the Dragon Bridge, are all musts that one cannot miss. Lots of shops with dragon-souvenirs and interesting thrift stores with variety. With my partner we did the Escape from Ljubljana Castle which was super fun and well organized. In general the prices are not expensive, ut depends on one's budget ofc but overall there are places for everyone. We did Cantina mexicana and found them fair. There was also an open kitchen str food festival that we found super cool- every Friday at Pogačarjev Trg in the Old Town near the Tripple Bridge. I wasn't wowed by tivoli park ljubljana but it was a nice park to walk to, it felt clean and safe even after dusk. Hope you all enjoy it as much as we did :)
