Kaunas is a very safe place during the daytime, also public transport ir very safe. However, in night time there might be some people who would want to rob you, but that could happen in any place in the world when it's dark
Posted: July 16, 2024Kaunas is pretty safe overall. There's a good police presence and emergency services are reliable. Public transport is safe, though it's always wise to watch your belongings. Traffic can be tricky, so stay alert. No major natural disasters to worry about here. Just follow basic safety tips, and you'll be fine.

- Kaunas is pretty safe for women - I really recommend places to eat: *Grill london (kind of cheap and good for lunch/dinner, I really like their raspderry tea) *Holy donut (great place for donuts) *Habits (one is with really nice buns and another is very aesthetic place to have a cup of coffee/tea) *Talutti (if you eat, their homemade lemonade is great) I really recommend exploring it by foot (especially center from train station to santaka) Public transport for students cost 0.5€ if you buy it on a bus, 1€ if you don’t have ISIC student card On app “Žiogas” it cost 0.35€ a ticket/student
