Pretty safe small town, center is small and usually people are nice and friendly, as always you should still be couscous during night life events, clubs ect., but nothing too dangerous. Stay in more centre range than further away places and it’s pretty safe and chill place to be in Lithuania. I’d even say safest town in country that’s still pretty big compared to Lithuanian cities.

Everything depends on neighbourhoods. Mostly it is save. Just at the dark can be uncomfortable to go between specific streets where we have drunk people lot. But as a person who grew up here. I never experienced any harassment

Depends on the area you’re in. In broad daylight its safe but after dark drunk people might scare you. There are some cases where weirdos approach you but that’s only 1% chance. I think you should stay in more open areas rather than walking through sketchy walkways.

Klaipeda is actually really safe, but from time to time there does happen some concerning stuff, most of it is related to personal misunderstandings, so there’s no need to be nervous if you’re just a tourist wandering around. I’ve never heard of tourist being attacked or robbed or anything of the sorts
Posted: January 18, 2025Maybe there are few districts that has criminal issues, but overall it's very safe in Klaipeda. People even leaves their bicycles unlocked. Maybe some streets that got no lighting are unsafe to walk by or to go under bridges.
