It is considered to be a pretty safe city and country too. Never had problems with locals, most of them speak English, so it’s easy to communicate, of course as long you behave properly and don’t cause disturb as everywhere

Klaipeda is safe as any other European city. You need to take general precautions, but in generally is is safe, especially in the city centre. You can walk at night and get into public transport safely
