Delhi is a historical place with so many beautiful monuments. The food here is the best in India. But the safety is not great, you can't go out at night even with friends, and hate the pollution here.

Delhi is beautiful location. Culturally rich. Many historical spaces. But safety i still don't know. I am very much afraid to take public transport. Metro is nice and competely safe. But bus and cabs i am still afraid

there are localities in south and central delhi that are very safe to throughout the day and night but anywhere else you should be a bit careful to be out after sunset. especially west and north delhi.
Posted: October 16, 2025Not safe at all especially not for us girls honestly I think that nobody should travel alone in this city! Always have pepper spray with u at all times and its advised to avoid staying out late but the area in delhi ncr is fairly better as the night life of noida and gurgaon is smthn u can look forward too! Again avoid isolated areas at all times and avoid talking to strangers too!
Posted: July 22, 2025Although Delhi is a lovely city, it is probably not the safest for solo women. My advice is to use the public transport, like the Delhi metro. Traveling alone during the day is absolutely fine, avoid traveling alone at night.

Pretty safe as long as as you’re vigilant around the night time. Make sure you don’t travel or commute alone at night. Late at night/ early morning Ola/ Uber are pretty safe to travel with. Apart from that have fun it is a fun city
Posted: June 30, 2025Delhi is unfrotunatrelnot very safe, particularly for solo woman travellers. Although, as a native, I know how to navigate the city to keep safe, it will not be very easy to understand the nuances. Travelling in groups is a good idea and if possible, a friend from India would be good. I would advise not going out after dark. Travelling in Delhi Metro is perfectly safe and it provides great connectivity. Uber is pretty cheap for the laste mile. If you want to take an auto🛺, that can also be booked on Uber, Ola or Rapido which will prevent the 'foreigner price' being quoted.
