Is Lapland safe for solo female travelers?

Lapland generally has a low crime rate and the locals are known to be respectful and helpful. There’s also an efficient public transportation system and many accommodations that cater specifically to solo travelers. The hustle and bustle is less compared to other touristy places hence providing less opportunity for theft or mishaps. But as with any travel, it's advisable to have common sense safety precautions in place like not wandering alone at night in isolated areas, keeping your personal belongings secure, and listening to local advice on safety.

Solo travel

100% a safe place to travel to as a solo traveler, never felt threatened or intimidated. There is plenty of things to do from dog and reindeer sledding through snowy forests to snowmobiling searching for the northern lights. This was an expensive trip but well worth it for the experiences. You have my heart Lapland/Finland ❤️
