Is Medulin good for solo travel?

Safety:

Safety:Very safe

Medulin is generally safe for solo female travelers. The locals are usually welcoming and respectful. It is a popular tourist destination and thus has a good infrastructure to support tourist safety. Nonetheless, like any travel destination, it's always imperative to ensure personal safety by taking precautions such as avoiding isolated areas at night and keeping your belongings secure at all times.
Transport:

Transport:Easy

Navigating Medulin proves quite simple with an array of options including biking, walking, or even boating for coastal locations. There are local buses too. While the public transportation services are not extremely frequent, the relatively small size of the town compensates for it. However, important to note that not all areas have well-lit streets, so be cautious after dark.
Things to do:

Things to do:Interesting

Medulin is quite engaging, with a range of activities to entertain solo female travelers. The city is known for its fascinating historical sites like Vižula Archaeological site, and scenic landscapes, perfect for outdoor activities such as hiking. Its amazing coastline invites for long relaxing walks and offers various water sports. A myriad of charming cafes and restaurants allow you to experience the local cuisine. However, it's slightly less vibrant in terms of nightlife or shopping opportunities, which might not cater to every traveler's interests.
Food:

Food:Above average

Medulin's culinary scene in Croatia offers a good variety of dishes, primarily influenced by Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. Seafood is dominant, with fresh fishes, mussels, and lobsters being a common sight. Pastas, pizzas and truffles are delicacies not to be missed. For the wine lovers, local wines pair well with the dishes. Desserts, especially the ice creams here, are delightful too. While it may not have a wide global variety, the freshness and quality of the local cuisine makes it a must-visit for any food lover.
Budget:

Budget:Moderate

Medulin offers a range of budget-friendly options for the discerning solo traveler. Accommodation, food, and attractions carry a moderate price tag compared to other European destinations. Lodging options span from affordable hostels to mid-range hotels, and the local markets, restaurants, and eateries offer delicious food at reasonable prices. However, the cost can go up during the peak tourist season. Activities like sightseeing and enjoying the beaches can also be economical.

Is Medulin worth visiting?

Solo travel experience

You can get to Medulin by flying to Pula and later taking a bus. Place is quite small, I recommend to go before the season begins. Best time is late May early June. That have good food and coffee. Please ladies be careful with waitress!! They are not safe, that try to be nice, but once they see you are drunk they try to take you home. I had this situation happened to me and I meet other traveling women who had this happen too. Overall place is nice to visit, for no longer than a week.
