Korčula, a picturesque island located in the Adriatic Sea just off the Dalmatian coast of Croatia, is renowned for its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush, verdant landscapes. However, as in any traveling situation, it's always important to stay cautious and be aware of your surroundings.

Korčula is quite manageable to explore with the town being compact and many of the attractions within walking distance. While public transport such as buses are available to reach farther areas, bicycling is a popular option for getting around. However, certain areas can be hilly and may require a bit more effort or opting for a taxi. Navigating the island can be straightforward with proper planning.

Solo travel experience

I spent a lot of time in Croatia last summer. I loved every moment, but my absolute favorite place in Croatia was the island of Korcula. I got there by ferry from Dubrovnik. It's a city surrounded by walls, not too crowded, with amazing food and wine, simply stunning. I will definitely go there directly during my next visit.
