About Me

Hi :) I’m from Austria and doing an interrail trip Dec 23/ Jan 24. I’m looking for friendly people who would want to host me. As long as it’s not cold and I have a place to put my camping mattress I’m fine. Are there any skills you would like to teach me or is there knowledge you want to share? Or anything I might be able to help you with? I am happy with a simple place to stay as much as with getting to know you or even do something in the city together. I speak native German, fluent English and some beginner French. (last edited 14.12.23)

Local tips

I would say at everywhere, it depends on where exaxtly you are. Generally its safe here in St. Pölten but i have to admit, in the last years there are some places to beq little bit carefuld about - espacially at night. E.g, in sparkassenpark you should be careful at night. Concerning food: we are small so we dont have so much different Restaurants but we have some good Italien and chineese Restaurants. St. Pölten is compared to other City in austria a cheap Travel goal and a big advantage is, when taking the train, you are in Vienna within 30 minutes to do some sightseeing there too. St. Pölten itself only has a handfull sights, since we are kind of a small city. We have a good Public Transport here with a good Bus System. So a car or Taxi is not necessarry. Also when being in center you come everywhere by walking without problem in a short time.
