I moved here from the inner city of Indianapolis so this is drastically safe compared to the concrete jungle environment. It's quite expensive to live here and there's so many stipulations like keeping your car safe and just a lot of things that they're required for the roads to be safe and there's no potholes

Williamsburg is very safe. It’s a college town and has a large elderly population. I have loved there for 5 years and have few instances of feeling unsafe. I would recommend being cautious at night time and aware of your surrounding just like anywhere else!

Williamsburg is a college town that also caters to tourists and retirees. As long as you follow normal precautions it is very safe. I would avoid leaving valuables clearly visible in cars and if parking in the long-term lot at the train station try to park under the street lights to avoid rare but potential vandalism.
