Vancouver is a good city, depending on where you go. As with most places, there are areas where you have to keep an eye out. Near the highways, homeless camps can be an area of concern, as well as near the I-5 corridor. However, in areas like Downtown Vancouver I feel relatively safe as long as I continue keeping an eye out. It is perfectly fine for a solo traveler as long as they're careful at very late hours of the night
