Safety at night:Safe
Tybee Island is a relatively safe destination, especially when compared to larger, surrounding cities in the United States. Most locales are welcoming to tourists and crime rates are generally lower. At night, like any other location, you should exercise general caution. Stay in well-lit areas, avoid unpopulated spots, and it's a good idea to let someone know where you'll be. While rare, crimes do happen so stay vigilant and use common sense while exploring at night.
