Safety at night:Moderate
Trinidad, as a small town, tends to become very quiet at night. There's relatively less foot traffic and many areas have poorly lit streets which could potentially make it uncomfortable for a lone woman traveler. However, the crime rate isn't notably high and people generally are friendly, but it would be recommended to stay in well-traveled areas and avoid isolated spots. As with any travel, use your best judgement. Always let someone know of your whereabouts, use trusted transport services, and follow updates from local safety authorities.
