A nice, peaceful place with several spots to enjoy beautiful views. The fast food places, as well as several restaurants, are quite digital and have good flavor. Walking around is not so accessible, but the bus is very accessible.
Posted: February 16, 2026Obviously it depends on what area you are in but I think Texas is generally safe. Definitely still advisable to follow the regular advice of being careful when out by yourself, especially at night. Because of the culture in Texas, especially if you don’t speak English I wouldn’t recommend going to rural areas by yourself as the people are hit or miss and may not be friendly. The cities will be welcoming of foreigners and as long as you make sure you are not staying in the bad parts of town (you can look up what areas those are) you should be fine.

Texas has both safe and unsafe neighborhoods. I live in a safe neighborhood with good schools and universities so overall a good place . Lots of good restaurants to eat . They are open until late at night.
