Is St. George safe for solo female travelers?

St. George is mainly a secure destination for solo female travelers. The city is generally friendly and the crime rate is lower than larger cities. However, as always, it's a good idea to stay aware of your surroundings, especially during night hours, and avoid isolated areas as you would in any destination. Common sense precautions should be sufficient.

Southern Utah is VERY safe! Only crime here is the elderly driving 20mph under the speed limit 😂 my home has security cameras around the external perimeter for extra peace of mind. My neighborhood also has security that patrols the community at night.

About me

Hi lovelies!! I’m originally from Seattle but have lived in southern Utah for 15 years. I have a beautiful home on the edge of town with a private guest room/bathroom upstairs. I have two kids that are with me two weeks on/off and two cats. If you’re allergic no worries! My house is mostly wood flooring and that helps a lot! They also do not go in the guest room. I’m 45 minutes from Zion National Park, 1.5-2 hrs from Las Vegas, and close to many other local beautiful areas to hike or go out in the town!

About me

Hello, i’m Katey! I try to travel often and I love to go solo, with a friend or sometimes my husband when he is invited. One of my favorite things about traveling besides the sights is meeting other travelers or locals along the way. I love living in southern Utah for the red rocks and being so close to beautiful state and national parks.
