If you use common sense you’ll be fine, the people are good but there’s always risk. A note is to be aware we have bears.. so don’t go hiking or walking alone if you can avoid it. Or carry protection..

Beautiful artsy town with full of love life and nature- minded people 💚 If you’re a foodie (especially if you like fish) you will love the cuisine! As an alaskan native, I eat almost every dinner from the sea, all of which is freshly caught by either friends, but mostly family. Also, most of our town is very art-driven, so if you like handmade items or products, or supporting small businesses or producers, you will definitely enjoy the treasures you will find in sitka!
