Is San Antonio Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

It was a beautiful city. I enjoyed walking around in day and night by myself around downtown and felt completely safe. Boat ride in Riverwalk is a must. Six flags was a fun. I learnt so much about Texas’s history from Alamo.

Biggest dangers in San Antonio are car break ins and most things related to driver i.e, speeding, drunk driving, running red lights. Shootings are common after midnight in inner city west, South, and east sides. If you stay out a t night, stay in downtown but still be cautious of homeless people.

obviously regular crime happens, like anywhere else might be, it's not too bad. not like LA or anything. occasional car break-ins or porch theft, but at least where I live it's actually relatively good.

Depending on the area it can vary. Locals are pretty kind to tourists but it can get sketchy in certain areas after nightfall. I have lived here my whole life and generally feel safe in my area, but everyone’s experience is different.

I feel very safe. I would be weary of downtown as some spots do have a homeless population and some can be abrasive. There's plenty of people around it is just when parking is scarce. There is plenty of parking garages though. Always be aware of your surroundings.

It’s a relatively safe place if you stay in the northern half of San Antonio. Only thing you really need to be concerned about is when you go out (drugs, men being weird, etc.) Overall it’s a fairly safe place

San Antonio overall is a pretty safe community. Downtown is like anywhere else downtown, but if you branch out to suburbs or different neighborhoods, overall I’m not afraid walking to my car at night leaving the bar by myself.
