Is Reno safe for solo female travelers?

Reno is a relatively safe city for solo female travelers. However, it's still vital to practice common safety measures. Always be aware of your surroundings, especially in less populated areas or during late hours. Petty thefts and pickpocketing do occur, so it's advised to keep your belongings close and secure. Generally, people are friendly and willing to help, but it's better to stay vigilant and avoid sharing personal details with strangers.

Reno is quite a safe city. Like most places just ensure you’re making smart choices - don’t walk around late by yourself in dark areas or leave your drinks alone. There are a few sketchy areas (like any city) but there’s no reason for you being there anyways. I never worry about hiking alone, getting in ride shares, living alone, etc. MidTown is incredible, Tahoe is stunningly beautiful, & our neighboring smaller towns like Virginia City are must sees!
