As with many places, there are safer areas of town and more dangerous pockets of the community. If anyone is visiting here, I am happy to help you navigate the city. There is a significant house less population here and I've never had issues with them being violent, though they do ask for aide. I've been told there is a drug problem on the east side of town but I live close to downtown and have no reason to go east so I've never experienced that. My neighborhood is very safe. The neighbors all know each other and look out for each other.

It's safe as long as you're not a single lady traveling alone also always carry a weapon and have an alarm on your keys, something I often deal with with is cars following me, start running if you notice.
