Is Peoria Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

Peoria generally has a friendly local community, and it is a city with a relatively low population density. However, like many urban areas, it has its safer and less safe neighborhoods. It's advised to stay vigilant, particularly during the evenings and in less crowded areas. Use common sense when in unfamiliar areas, stick to well-lit and populated places, and always let someone know your itinerary.

Is Peoria safe for women?

Peoria like any city has its ups and downs. Use common sense and be aware of your surroundings and you’ll be ok. Most people are respectful and willing to help so long as you do the same. There isn’t too much to do here but new things are opening every day. The police here are either very nice or awful.

Downtown is decently safe. East bluff is dangerous. Peoria Heights is pretty safe. Most of the crime is contained to a few neighborhoods. As long as you are wise (keep things locked and pay attention), you should be fine.
