How safe is Minneapolis for solo female travelers?

Solo travel

I felt very safe while in Minneapolis. I only use public transportation and found it easy and affordable. There were a lot of food options, including many vegetarian friendly options. I stayed near Target Center and found the neighborhood walkable, friendly, and relatively affordable.

I feel very safe walking during the day as a women, but I would procede with extra caution at night in downtown areas. There are plenty of beautiful walking areas and lakefront areas that are very safe.

There are areas around town I wouldnt walk alone in but overall there are safer places than not in mpls. Unfortunately, as awoman I never walk alone at night so my advice is either go in pairs/groups or stick to daylight hours.

Minneapolis is a nice city, just make sure to not visit lake street at night like past 2am. Otherwise the city is nice, it’s beautiful but a bit boring. Don’t trust Somali men who lure you in, most of time they want to have relationships with you and then leave you- Somali woman:

About me

Single, no kids, 35, animal lover! I have a dog and 4 rescue parakeets (budgies). I love to garden, love coffee, patios, and sightseeing. I used to speak Spanish but am now relearning Spanish grammar, as I didn't use it for years after college/university. Would love to show my city and meet future travel buddies as well!

About me

Hey girlies! I’m thinking about getting a frontier go wild pass! Most of my trips would involve me staying in a city for a one night. Just looking for a couch to crash on in some of my ✨favourite✨ cities! A little about me, I’m very very girly In the way that I love pink and sparkles. I’m very much a girls girl! We can have a talkative girls night but if you need time alone, I’m happie to keep to myself quietly. I’m a very understanding person, and probably won’t judge you for anything unless you are maga or unkind.
