About me

I'm a native New Yorker, now living in a small town in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky, USA. I am an active 68 year old, and keep busy with textile crafts, square dancing, belly dancing, and volunteering with a couple of agricultural non-profits. Now that fine weather is here, I also do a lot of walking through the beautiful farm country here, about 15 miles a week. I am also working against the Trump administration's takeover of our government. I work with a local protest group here doing media relations, PR, and other outreach. And I've just launched a small fundraising initiative, where I give belly dance lessons in exchange for donations to organizations fighting Trump in court. A lifelong textile crafter, I've done yarn spinning, natural dyeing, quilting, felting, and weaving. Lately I'm doing fabric marbling, and creating necklaces from ribbon. I am clean, quiet, non-smoking, and speak a little French, Spanish, as well as a tiny bit of Japanese and Norwegian, and currently studying German.i
