Is Menlo Park Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

I’d say it’s very safe. There’s plenty of police around and I have never felt unsafe. I’ve taken public transport and all different hours off the day. It’s very quiet here. Not a lot of options on going out which also means no risk of running into drunk or threatening people. There’s a few homeless people scattered around but I’ve never encountered anyone dangerous.

Menlo Park is generally very safe, family-friendly, small-town vibes. There are only have a few nice places to stay and they are all in great walking distance to downtown areas with lots of stores. I would not be scared here with my safety. Lots of very outward support for minority communities.
