I love New York! So much culture, life, and great food scene. I went with two other friends and my favorite thing to do is get lost in the city. There’s always a fun activity or shopping scene to attend

Really safe , never had issues honestly. Don’t know how else to fill the space hahahaha, I’m enjoying my time here so far! People need to prepare for sure just so they don’t get lost but that’s it. I love it

I saw police everywhere, I found the places clean and often cleaned, the metro is safe, lots of video surveillance, people to help you find your way, I appreciated that there was light everywhere, welcoming and warm shopkeepers

There are so many people around you at all times that this can either aid or inhibit your experience. Because there are so many bystanders, people (men especially) rarely make you uncomfortable or seek out harm because of how many people would be a witness. Keep your things close to you and keep to yourself - don’t stare, point, or disturb others - and you will have a beautiful time.

I've lived near NYC my entire life, and feel very confident going most places alone in my day-to-day. It's a great city to take yourself out on a date in: with some of the best food and entertainment in the world! Most people here keep to themselves, and will not bother you. Though, solo female travelers should avoid walking anywhere alone at night. Stay in crowded areas to be safest, but just like any major city, keep your wits about you. I also would recommend avoiding the subway system...
