Not safe for women's or dogs where I stay. There are dogs roaming the side streets and my dog was attacked. Then the woman who owed the dog followed me because I pepper sprayed her dog to her him off of my dog, trying to fight me. Called the cops and they did nothing even though I showed them where she lived and the damage done to my dog. Lehigh Acres gets a bad reputation sometimes, but honestly, like anywhere else, it depends on where you are. I’ve sold homes all over Lehigh and know many families who have lived there for years without any issues. It’s a large community, so some neighborhoods are quieter than others. Like any city, there are areas that are more desirable than others. My advice is always to visit the specific neighborhood, drive through at different times of day, and talk to the people who actually live there....
