The people in Humboldt County are a mix of the kindest people you’ll ever meet and racist dicks. The towns are gorgeous but there are homeless people everywhere. Theft is very common, don’t leave anything unattended. I wouldn’t feel safe walking anywhere at night, but I would feel safe going most places and talking to most people during the day. Almost everyone will give you help if you ask for it.
