Is Groton safe for solo female travelers?

Groton is pretty safe. I don't feel terrified to walk the streets. I think there may be some drug usage, but I don't associate with those people, so I don't really see it. One local bar called Richonis sometimes has sketchy people and I've heard of a couple people getting drugged, but again, if you avoid those types of sketchy locations, it's not a bad area. It's also very close to super nice areas like Mystic, Old Saybrook, and Stonington.
