Most of the crime here is related to the combination of low incomes + drugs in the under-30 crowd, mostly concentrated on the east side of town. So cars getting broken into, bikes getting stolen, that sort of thing. Anything violent is rarely between strangers. Grand junction is pretty safe… I’ve felt safe all around grand junction. I’m a paranoid girl so walking around at night by myself doesn’t seem like a fun time to me anyway but I’m sure you’d be perfectly safe to walk around at night:)
