Grand Forks, is fairly safe for solo female travelers. It maintains a community-focused environment with a relatively low crime rate. However, like any city, it's not entirely devoid of crime, and so usual precautions must be taken particularly during late night hours. Nonetheless, the locals are hospitable and helpful, making it a reasonably comfortable place for solo travel.
