Safety at night:Unsafe
Though the French Quarter is one of the most well-known parts of New Orleans, it can be somewhat riskier for a solo female traveler at night. The area has a busy nightlife, and while it can be quite lively, it also means that it can be crowded, with frequent incidents of pickpockets and occasional more serious crimes. Walking alone particularly during late night hours can be unsafe. Always be aware of your surroundings and try to stay in more crowded areas or street with good lighting. However, most of the days it is moderately safe with the presence of local police and crowd. If possible, try to plan your travel in a group or use reputable taxi services when moving around at night.
