Small mountain town, low crime. Declared 63rd National Park in 2020. Many adventures including mountain biking , whitewater boating, climbing, hiking- Have nearby Summerville Lake that offer 53 miles of shoreline Many independent owned businesses located in historic town of Fayetteville.

It’s fairly safe in my opinion as a woman there are always concerns though. I don’t get out much after dark alone regardless of where I am. This biggest issue would be drunk drivers. Because this city is 50% college students there is often big partying, but I normally just avoid the city streets and everything works out!
