I mainly went to Arapaho National Forest to summit my first 14er! It was definitely a risk so for anyone looking to summit a 14er, I highly recommend later in the summer as the weather won't be as volatile. Otherwise, Denver as a city was a blast if you love beer and nature! Fun breweries are all throughout the city, as well as since pretty neat coffee shops!

Recent stabbings have made me more scared about walking late at night. Overall it’s not too bad but people will definitely harass you and follow you sometimes. There’s a large homeless population so there’s needles everywhere.
Posted: February 12, 2025I worry more about my property being taken for vandalized. Although, there have been recent physical attacks on strangers. I would recommend being aware of surroundings when alone or even with others. There are certain neighborhoods to avoid and fun places that aren’t downtown. Downtown has homeless and drug addicts, it’s worse than imagined.
