I mainly went to Arapaho National Forest to summit my first 14er! It was definitely a risk so for anyone looking to summit a 14er, I highly recommend later in the summer as the weather won't be as volatile. Otherwise, Denver as a city was a blast if you love beer and nature! Fun breweries are all throughout the city, as well as since pretty neat coffee shops!

*BEST FOOD IN DENVER* Dad-Gee Korean BBQ (affordable and UNLIMITED meats) Duo (pricy, but good vibes, nice date night spot) Fox and the Hen (AMAZING breakfast spot with the best vibes) *BEST ACTIVITIES IN DENVER* Meow Wolf (self explanatory, must go) Denver Botanical Gardens (very affordable and LOTS to see and look at, can spend lots of time here) Museum of Nature and Science (do NOT skip this one, so much cool stuff to look at, not boring at all) Royal Gorge Zipline Tours (BEST instructors, very affordable for the amount you get to do)

Denver is relatively safe. I’d say if you drive in Denver you’ll be fine. Staying out too late could be a problem, but really only on public transportation. I’ve always felt safe going out with friends, though.

Hello. I’m Jessie. I’m doing my first big solo travel trip this year in 4 South American countries to try and learn Spanish. I love meeting people and find myself consistently inspired by people’s stories.
