Columbus is very safe in most parts of the city, but just like any place, I would avoid being out alone past dark in many parts of the city proper. Overall, however, people are more than happy to help you if you ask.

It is safe overall. Some unsafe areas such as Linden and the westside of Columbus. Dont talk to people you do not know or try to do anything unsavory. Keep to yourself if you have to travel here. Very nice overall

Columbus is best and safest during daytime hours or with friends at nighttime hours. Be cautious in Downtown Columbus at night. Do not go to the Hilltop area at all. Other than that, North and East of Columbus are always pretty safe and fun.
