Is Carmel By The Sea safe for solo female travelers?

Super safe. It's a picturesque tourist forward town. If it's not a tourist it's probably a retired couple. If your out right after school, ~15:30, you'll see school age kids at the markets and parks but all well behaved. Some areas can be dark at night bexuad trees and less street lights but not in a menacing way.
