Buffalo is a fairly safe city. Avoid the fruit belt streets (they are named after fruits). Day time is safe to go pretty much anywhere. Night time I would say to avoid walking alone through the middle of downtown and just be aware of your surroundings Safe neighborhoods include: Elmwood, Allen, and Hertel thought Hertel is a bit less populated at night.

Buffalo is a city that is best to navigate with someone else, especially in the city area. It can be safe mostly, but you should always try to be cautious. There is a lot of people that may try to bother you.

It’s pretty safe during the day, but be cautious when walking alone at night, especially in less crowded areas. Other than that, it’s a quiet, peaceful neighborhood with a relaxing atmosphere. I love Buffalo
