Bloomington felt like home to me. I come from outskirts of Mumbai, India and my hometown is very similar to Bloomington. It gave me a sense of belongingness. The safety of the town is what I boast about.

Bloomington is a small midwest town. There are many restaurants and hiking spots nearby. It’s a very homely town. Has ISU and Wesleyan campus. Very close to Chicago and Champaign UIUC. The town has mixed population which can be seen throughout the town

Minnesota overall is not too dangerous, South Minneapolis and North Bloomington are alright depending on the area you’re in. Avoid MOA after dark and stay in street lights and you will likely be safe.
