I’ve been there a lot to take the gray hound at the bus station there, the area itself is kind of rough visually with some people looking a bit crazy however I have never ran into any issues with anyone personally! My sister works there and also has a decent time. Just stay safe and be alert!

if you’re living in the downtown area near main street there is lot of homelessness and drug abuse so be aware but it is a college down so a lot of the occupants during the year that go to school are in the same area and occupy the same spaces so it feels relatively safe. i am cautious of walking to and from the bars at night but that is common sense in my opinion. just be aware, especially at night, and you should be okay.
