I haven’t been in Billings for long and I’m still not really familiar with the city. I’ve been told that it’s safer to walk around in pairs, especially as a woman, rather than alone. I can’t really judge that myself yet, but that’s how I would do it.

This city still has that small town charm to it. I feel completely safe majority of the time. I walk my dog at night without any issue. Even our downtown feels safe. There are a few homeless/drunks that will wander through the downtown streets, but not many. There are a couple sections of town (the Southside), where I would remove valuables from my car and make sure it's locked, but besides the little areas of concern this city is pretty safe.
