Safety at night:Moderate
Atlantic Beach in the United States is an overall safe place to travel, even for solo female adventurers. Local authorities are generally vigilant, keeping crime rates relatively low. However, like any beach resort towns, certain areas can be less secure at night and it would be wise not to venture into lesser-populated areas or unlit parts after dark. Always stay vigilante, especially when walking alone at night. Stay in well-lit areas, avoid deserted areas, and try to join in with other visitors whenever possible. Trust your instincts, and if a place or situation makes you uncomfortable, remove yourself from it immediately. The beach is more active during the day with lifeguards and plenty of people, making it safer for any traveller.
