Very safe! There is very little homeless people around. Small college city with very safe environment & mostly nice people. I don’t usually go walk alone at night, but I wouldn’t do that in most places anyways. However, you would be safe if you do.
Posted: March 17, 2025I would say one of the safer areas in Texas from what I’ve seen. There are cops everywhere which probably helps with that. The people who live in this area have been really nice. There are people I see who are out jogging, biking or walking their dogs all the time.
Posted: February 19, 2025It’s pretty safe. Most areas are very densely populated, so there are always people out and about. I take normal precautions for city life (stay aware of surroundings, walk on well-lot streets, etc). There are occasional car break-ins and some possible drug activity, but it is easy to avoid. It is a wealthy suburb of DC, and is metro accessible.

Arlington is a fairly typical, American city/suburb. The cost of living and job market have created a concentration of mid to upper level professionals, and the politics in the area are fairly liberal or "blue". In the present climate, that generally correlates to female-friendly and LGBTQIA-friendly.
