Is 55412 Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

I live in a diverse, working class, urban neighborhood of Minneapolis that is experiencing slow gentrification. There is moderate to high crime in the vicinity but my immediate neighborhood has been safe for me as a middle aged, single woman with white privilege. The US has very lax gun laws and hearing the occasional gunshot is common in large cities like mine. This can be difficult to get used to if you're from a country where firearms are highly regulated.
