Safety at night:Moderate
Monastir relatively maintains a moderate level of safety even at night. Its areas are generally well-lit, with frequent patrols by the local police. As is the case with traveling to any foreign place however, it is important to stay cautious and aware of your surroundings. Avoid secluded or poorly lit areas, especially after dark, and try not to display valuables in public. Just like any other touristic city, some petty crimes such as pickpocketing or bag-snatching could potentially occur. Additionally, it's ideal to respect local customs and dress appropriately to avoid unwanted attention. Make sure to always keep the contacts of the local embassy, hotel, and emergency services.
