Is Uppsala County safe for solo female travelers?

I would overall say it’s pretty safe. Never have to feel scared about picket picketers, or not being able to walk around with my phone as it may get stolen in other countries. But there are some areas like “Gottsunda” or sometimes even “Årsta” that can get unsafe.

I always feel safe in Uppsala during daytime, it’s just walking home alone when it’s dark because some places can be quite lonely at that hour. Therefor I prefer taking my bike to get home faster. But I do live a bit outside of the center so that’s also effecting my review, I would say if you stay in the city center or have company walking it’s completely fine!
