Is Biysk safe for solo female travelers?

There are rude people on the streets, you come across drunks, just like in other cities in Russia. I've heard about cases of unpunished violence against women, but I wouldn't say it's any different here than in other cities. It's generally safe to walk on the streets, people are reasonable and polite, but after dark I wouldn't recommend going alone or without protection.
