Safety in Vicenza is good, but recently close to the train station there is a lot of drugs. In downtown you have no problem, but in the night take care and you travel always with other travellers, if you can.

Vicenza is a pretty safe city. Walking alone during the day is perfectly safe, after dark in the late night I would only avoid the train station area. I have to say that there is often police around just to overlook the area so it's really uncommon that something bad could happen. In 34 years that I live here I've always felt perfectly safe going around alone.

During the day you can feel the safest. I never feel scared to leave my belongings in the chair of a cafe when i use the restroom or in the table of the library when i have a break from studying. I feel safe walking around the city dressed as I wish, men are quite respectful, besides some exceptions when people comment your appearance verbally. But in some areas sometimes in the night there is a low risk to get robbed if you are alone.
