My recent trip to Pavia (April, 19)🩷. It was perfect for a day trip. Safe, calm town somewhere in between the medieval charm and modern facilities. We didn’t use transport as we walked around the city and it was manageable. As a food option we went with “All you can eat” that cost 20€/person excluding drinks. Places we visited and highly recommended to you as well: • Università di Pavia (my favorite) • Torri di Pavia • Castello Visconteo • Chiesa di Santa Maria del Carmine • Chiesa di Santa Maria di Canepanova Enjoy!🫶🏻

It looks like a nice small town, but at night, if you're outside the city center (in places like the train station) you can feel really unsafe. I know about a girl which a man tried to assault in front of the bus station near the train one. I myself experienced some crazy drunk men at the station that provoked me. BUT I feel like if you hang out in the city center there won't be any problem

Pavia is a small city and it's mainly inhabited by students. Overall I feel like it's a pretty safe city, I have never encountered any issue going back home at night by myself or walking and biking around the city even when it's dark.
