I was to Mantua just a day with my boyfriend for his birthday. It's a great city with a lot of culture. It's very safe and beautiful. You can travel with train or buses. The food is really good and people very cute.

Mantova is a small and peaceful town, but you know men are men, I never feel safe at 100% anywhere beacause I'm a woman, but if I have to be rational and honest, I think Mantova is safe for a solo travel. Public transport suck like in the rest of Italy

Mantua is a very quiet small city the day is very safe in the night you have to watch out only if you go in bad neighbourhoods. You might get scammed with tourist prices but this is not such a big deal, I never had problems in that city Nothing ever happen but always good the be careful
Posted: May 16, 2025The security in the centre of Mantua is very good. The problem is that many non-EU men, from Africa, Pakistan and Arab countries, have the habit of raping women because for them it is normal. Inside the city it is very safe, there are many cameras on the streets and the police are around all the time, but outside it is not advisable to walk at night or in the lonely hours of the morning. Unfortunately we have this problem all over Europe, however, Mantua is a city that is little affected by non-EU Arabs and Africans compared to big cities like Rome, Milan and Bologna that suffer many sexual crimes and harassment every day. Here in Mantua, it happens very little because it is a small town, however you have to be alert on the outskirts of the city and not show fear to these individuals.

I would say that there is almost nothing to worry about here in Mantova. I suggest to stay away from the station by night. During winter the city will be pretty empty. “Dangerous” places are not close to the city center.

My name is Francesca, and I am 22 years old. I’m an extroverted, calm, and generally happy person who loves traveling, meeting new people, and sharing experiences. I enjoy living adventures abroad and socializing. I prefer taking meaningful trips that offer real-life experiences rather than just simple vacations. I consider myself an open-minded person and dislike putting my mind into boxes. I’m active, love meeting people from different cultures, and enjoy lively conversations, especially over a drink or during a walk in nature. My friends in Italy call me "little Buddha" because, despite being energetic and enthusiastic, I’m also very calm and proactive, even in tough situations.

Architect and designer. Food, music and craftmanship lover, I enjoy exploring the city in unconventional and unorganized ways 🙂 getting lost most of the time! If I hear the sound of an instrument I follow it. My super power is that everything can be interesting to me. Lived in Sydney for the last 3 years and moving back to Italy soon.
