I live in IITK campus so I’m not very familiar with the city outside of my campus😭 Though I’d really avoid going to the nankari area around the campus. It’s infamous for suspicious activities. Day time should be safe in most of the parts of the city

There are time when I have to go and come back on my own in day and evenings as well, and I’d say the experience was not too scary. The people are usually pretty kind, generous and helpful. I’d say it’s not that bad of an experience living here.
