Is Hubli Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

Hubli is a moderate city in terms of safety for female solo travelers. Like any other place, it's essential to take basic precautions. It's advised to avoid less crowded areas and not to venture out late at night alone. New travelers should be aware of their surroundings and keep their belongings secure. While overall it is not necessarily a dangerous city, these carefulness measures enhance personal safety.

How safe is Hubli?

Safety at night:

Safety at night:Moderate

Hubli, like many cities in India, is generally secure but gets quieter at night, with fewer people on the street. While it's not exceedingly dangerous, it's always a good idea to exercise caution. Try to avoid secluded areas and walking alone very late at night. Utilize reliable transportation services, especially when moving around late at night. Always be aware of your surroundings and stay in well-lit areas where there are other people. Trust your intuition, if something doesn't feel right it's better to trust your instinct.
Public transportation:

Public transportation:Moderate

Public transportation in Hubli, is generally adequate for travel. Buses and auto rickshaws can be found in abundance. However, peak hours can see overcrowding, and language might be a barrier as most drivers speak only local languages. Though instances of crime are not rampant, it's always better to stay cautious, especially during late-night travels.
Street harassment:

Street harassment:Moderate

Hubli is moderately safe for solo female travelers. While street harassment is not extremely common and majority of the locals are respectful and helpful, instances of eve-teasing and unsolicited attention can occur. It is best to dress conservatively, follow local customs and be vigilant especially at night or in isolated areas.
Petty crimes:

Petty crimes:Low

Hubli generally has low levels of petty crime, such as pickpocketing or purse-snatching. It is always important to remain vigilant and cautious, especially in crowded areas, just like in any other city. However, the overall safety in Hubli is pretty significant, making it a relatively safe destination for solo female travelers. As always, it is recommended to respect local customs and norms to avoid any kind of unfortunate incidents.
