It's pretty safe. It's a slow pace moving city. In terms of being safe. Just be aware of your surroundings here. Tourist places can be a little unsafe. But other local areas are good. Not great in nightlife so keep your eyes on yourself while stepping out at night.

Its relatively safe, but as in any other city i feel scared to walk alone. Tho i’ve never personally had any bad experiences, because I’ve found Uber to be a safe means of transport. But walking along in secluded areas would still scare me.

I mean it's usually safe here until 9 or 9:30 pm I guess. But not after that. I'm just guessing because I don't go out much at night. Also I think a woman is not safe in whatever city in India after the dark.
