Is Bhubaneshwar Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

The city is quite safe . I have been living here for last 3 years and so far i really love it. Commute is easy and accessible 24*7 . Ola and uber work pretty well here and the city also has its own Bus service which is way cheaper. Locals are very helpful.

Its relatively safe, but as in any other city i feel scared to walk alone. Tho i’ve never personally had any bad experiences, because I’ve found Uber to be a safe means of transport. But walking along in secluded areas would still scare me.

I mean it's usually safe here until 9 or 9:30 pm I guess. But not after that. I'm just guessing because I don't go out much at night. Also I think a woman is not safe in whatever city in India after the dark.

Crimes like everywhere else have risen here too, Bhubaneswar has launched initiatives like "Socially Smart City" with CCTV camera installations all over the city. It is important to be vigilant irrespective of all the safety measures by the local administration and ensure all the safety precautions are in place by self.
